The Augustin laboratory at Northwestern University is seeking highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our neuroscience research program focused on neural circuit function and neuromodulatory signaling. The laboratory is part of the Feinberg School of Medicine and is located on the downtown campus of Northwestern University. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in ex vivo Fast-Scan Cyclic Voltammetry (FSCV) or fiber photometry. Our laboratory integrates electrophysiology, neurochemical monitoring, and behavioral assays to study how misused substances, such as alcohol and THC, impact neuromodulatory systems to influence circuit function. We foster a highly collaborative environment and provide outstanding training opportunities aimed at helping you build the skills needed for your next career step. Additionally, we offer internal and external funding opportunities for individuals interested in developing grant-writing skills and pursuing independent research careers. If interested in industry, there are opportunities to attend lectures taught by industry experts. We also support career development through opportunities to attend conferences. The position requires a PhD degree, within three years of completing their PhD.
